A Scientist Brought Me to the Dinosaur’s Time!

Chapter 1

How They Got Sucked in a Time Machine

            Once upon a time, there were three people: A mom, a sister named Isabella, and a brother named.  They were going to go to a Scientist’s lab to see how one works.  The Scientist was making a time machine when they got there.  The mom talked with the Scientist while the sister and brother looked at the time machine. 

            “Don’t touch it,” said the sister.

            But the brother accidentally pushed the switch button.  They were holding the machine tightly, but they still got sucked in. 

            “Where are we?” said the sister.

            “I think we are in the Triassic period,” said the brother.

            As soon as they got there, the saw a Eoraraptor running and chasing a lizard.  He was dark blue and had little triangle prints on him.  He was the size of a dog.  Soon he stepped on a plant and tripped but still got the lizard and started to feast. 

            Soon the brother came out and the sister said, “Hey, don’t come out!”

            The brother said, “Don’t get that lizard!”  But the dinosaur just ran away.  And then they went around and found Herrerasaurus.  He was hiding in the trees.  There was another smaller dinosaur in front of the trees.  And then the Herrerasaurus hopped out and took the small dinosaur.  And he rushed and put it right in the middle of a tree to make him stuck and he started to eat. 

            As soon as the sister and the brother got there, they saw him roaring, wiggling his tail while blood fell on his teeth.  It looked like he was still hungry.  They hurried and hid behind a bush.  But, phew, they were saved because another dinosaur came by and the Herrerasaurus jumped and ate the dinosaur.  But oops, the brother was wrong to stop worrying.  The Herrerasaurus was still hungry.

            The only way the kids could not be caught by the Herrerasaurus was to sneak and be quiet for him to not hear them.  They went deep, deep in the woods and they found a Staurikosaurus. He looked like he was ready to eat.  And soon he saw a lizard on a tree.  He climbed up the tree and ate the lizard. 

            As soon as the two children got there, the Staurikosaurus was looking around and then he hid for a new little animal to come for him to eat for a snack.  And soon there was a little animal and the Staurikosaurus jumped out and ate the little lizard.  He was not hungry anymore, so the two little children went through without getting eaten. 

            A Coelophysis was out looking for a good snack to eat.  He had a tail and some fur on his head.  And he looked like there were some rocks around his head.  And he had sharp teeth and sharp nails. 

The two children followed him to a big pretty pond where there were lots of lizard and lots of small creatures for him to eat.  As soon as the lizards saw the Coelophysis they ran, ran, ran.  And the Coelophysis was chasing them too.  Finally he just got one lizard.  He was hungry enough for ten more lizards.  And soon the children hid behind a tree for him to not see them.  The dinosaur found lots and lots of lizards.  He was hungry enough for a human. 

            The brother found a Venus Fly Trap which is a plant that eats flies.  He picked it up and threw it at the Coelophysis.  The plant bit the dinosaur.  He was moving and moving.  Soon the Venus Fly Trap swallowed a part of him.  Soon they could get through and then they went very very deep in the beautiful pond.  They were almost at the end of the beautiful pond. 

Then they saw a Saltopus jumping and trying to get a dragonfly.  He had very sharp claws and tiny arms.  He had a tail and he was dark yellow.  Soon he turned around and looked for another good snack he could eat.  He was looking down in the pond and saw some fish, but he wasn’t hungry enough for some fish.  The kids hurried and hid behind a tall tree with a very fat branch. 

Then there was a bunch of Venus Fly Traps around them.  The brother took three Venus Fly Traps and threw them at him, but they didn’t get him.  Instead one got the dragonfly and the rest got flies. 

“How will we ever get him?” said the sister. 

“Well, I guess we just need to cross in front of him, quietly,” said the brother.

And soon they got to the end of the beautiful pond.  Now they saw the time machine getting close.  They found it, but the brother looked behind him and there was something running: a Liliensternus.  He was tall with a red tongue and he was kind of yellow-greenish.  He had claws and it looked like he was hungry enough to eat the size of a human.  Instead he just got a dragonfly who escaped from one of the Venus Fly Traps.  After he ate him, he looked around and was blocking the way to the time machine.  The brother was hurrying and the sister was hurrying. 

The sister hid behind a big tree and the brother hid behind a tiny bush. 

“How will we go in the time machine?” said the sister.

“I don’t know,” said the brother.

So after that, he came out of the bush and said to the dinosaur, “Can you move please?”

The dinosaur saw a giant, delicious lizard and he went to eat that lizard.  The sister and the brother hurried and jumped in the time machine.  But instead of home, they got to the Jurassic Period. 

Chapter 2

It’s Time to Be Brave

As soon as they got there, they were so disappointed to not be home.  They thought there were going to be more adventures and dangerous dinosaurs to get through.  After that they hurried and hid in a bush because a Yangchuanosaurus was coming by.  He was kind of green, but he was mostly blue.  And he had a tail and he had big muscles on him.  He had claws that looked like perfect claws to scratch a human. He was very big. 

Soon it looked like he was hungry.  He was looking around for some yummy delicious creature.  There was a big dinosaur who walked on four legs. The Yangchuanosaurus turned around and saw him.  He jumped and ate the four-legged dinosaur.  When he swallowed it, he got bigger and bigger.  It looked like he was still hungry, hungry enough for a tiny lizard or a human. 

“Hurry, hide!” yelled Isabella.  She hurried and hid by a big branch.  And the little boy hid in a giant, fat stone.  A waterfall over the rock was coming right to the Yangchuanosaurus.  And it crashed right on him.  He got washed away. 

Then they saw a Dilophosaurus starting to eat a dead dinosaur.  He had two crusts on his head and he had very pointy teeth.  He had very dark green eyes.  His crusts were all blue.  And the rest of his body was very very dark blue.  And he wanted to scratch a dinosaur for him to eat him.  He was a little more hungry, enough for a human.  He was deciding to hide and hop out and eat whatever dinosaur came near his hiding spot.  He hid behind a big fat branch.  As soon as the two kids got there, the hurried and hid when they saw his tail wiggling behind the big fat branch. 

“What is that dinosaur,” said the sister.

“I don’t know, I guess we will never know,” said the brother.

They decided to go and look.  They peeked and saw a giant dinosaur.  As soon as they saw him, they hurried and hid back in their hiding spot behind a fat branch too.  And then a big Stegasaurus came.  And then the  Dilophosaurus hopped out and started eating him while the blood came out of the Stegasaurus. 

His tummy grumbled while blood was dripping on his bottom teeth.  He was wiggling his tail.  Then he saw a Venus Fly Trap ready to bite and it bit his tail.  He tried to get out and move his tail.  And then the Venus Fly Trap turned into a stomach and tried to swallow his tail. 

“Now we can go,” said Isabella. 

They passed the Dilophosaurus.  They got to the very place where it looked like a yellow dinosaur could be.  And soon they saw a yellow Megapnosaurus dinosaur, except some parts of him were green.  His skin was dark and his eyes looked like they could see very far.  He looked like he was very, very hungry.  He was looking around for a tasty snack.  And Isabella and the brother saw the Megapnosaurus was smelling a human.  He was smelling all the way to Isabella’s spot.  Then the Megapnosaurus saw her and she ran, ran, ran and jumped in the beautiful pond and took one of the Venus Fly Traps.  She flew the Venus Fly Traps at the Megapnosaurus and it bit the dinosaur right on the neck. 

They ran, ran, ran and bumped right into a Cryolophosaurus.  He had a crust ear to ear that was kind of red.  His head was yellow and the rest was green.  He had blue stripes on his back.  When they bumped into him, they hurried and hid behind a big fat branch.  The dinosaur’s tail was soon wiggling and he looked like he was very hungry and he was trying to find Isabella and the brother.  He looked by fat branch to fat branch and he almost was to Isabella’s and brother’s hiding spot. 

Then the Scientist back home threw a sword in the time machine that went right to Isabella’s and brother’s place—right behind them.  It was a big sword for fighting.  The brother put the sword right in the dinosaur’s belly.  The dinosaur fell down and his whole entire body exploded and all that was left were bones of him and blood.

Then Isabella and the brother decided to make a tree house on a big wide place where there was lots of room.  They cracked trees down to make a big tree house and then they were all done.            

Chapter 3

Dinosaurs are going to Get Dangerous

            The children saw very far away the time machine.  They were so excited, but they needed to get through lots of dinosaurs.  And soon they bumped right into a Proceratosaurus.  He had a little crust on his nose.  He was very dark green.  Some parts of him were red.  He had some teeth that were backwards.  He was stomping with giant sounds.   He looked like he was very super duper hungry. 

The children hurry and ran behind a giant, giant branch.  After that the  Proceratosaurus was stomping and cracking each tall branch.  Sister saw some Venus Fly Traps, but they were starting to die.  But they still had the sword.  As soon as the Proceratosaurus came to their branch, sister put the sword right in the middle of his heart and he was starting to fall down. 

After five minutes, it was night time after a giant day.  They decided to sleep in their tree house.  In the morning, Isabella looked out the window and saw a giant, dangerous dinosaur called Eustreptospondylus.  He had tiny arms and he had green prints on his giant back.  And he had some spikes on him.  And he was kind of blue and the color of his spikes were kind of green.  And he had very sharp teeth. 

When he woke up, he was looking around for a good breakfast.  After that he saw a giant stegosaurus who was very, very old and walked very slowly.  Then the stegosaurus looked back and saw the Eustreptospondylus.  He tried to run but he didn’t run too fast.  The Eustreptospondylus got to eat the stegosaurus.  He spitted all of the bones out of his mouth. 

He was a little more hungry for a little dessert—like a human.  He was stomping around and looked around and saw the tree house.  He stuck his hand in one of the windows.  He almost reached sister’s body.  She hurried and opened the door and went away.  His hand went deeper and deeper in the tree house.  It went down the stairs and his hand could not go any farther.  So his hand went out of the window and he peeked inside the window where brother’s sleeping room was. 

Brother woke up and saw the giant eye.  And then his head broke through the window and he tried to get brother.  Good thing he had the sword in his pocket!  But soon the sword would run out of power.  It would go back to the time where it was at the beginning of the story. 

So Brother hurried and cut right in the hand of the Eustreptospondylus and he gently died and fell down.  And soon some of his bones were starting to get out. 

After that they had breakfast.  Soon it was the middle of the morning.  Soon a giant rumble and

boom shook the entire earth.  It was a giant Megalosaurus.  He had some blood on his teeth and he walked like a crocodile.  He had a tail that was kind of blue and he had some spots on his skin.  The rest of his skin was the color green.  He looked like he was very hungry. 

He did a tiny fire on part of the tree house.  And then as soon as the fire stopped, there was a tiny hole and he put his claw in the hole to feel if there were any yummy things to pull off.  As soon as sister saw the pointy claw in the hole she ran, ran, ran and told brother to get the sword. 

But he said, “the sword went back to our time.”    

“Do we have any more Venus Fly Traps?” asked sister.

Brother said, “I have two more Venus Fly Traps.”

So after that, they had a plan.  Sister put the Venus Fly Trap on his claw and he accidentally ate the Venus Fly Trap.  It bit his tongue and he died very quickly.  He fell down as blood started to come out of his tongue.  And then it was time for lunch.  They went to get some fruit from trees to eat for lunch. 

After lunch there were no dinosaurs for five minutes.  And after six minutes, a giant dinosaur was going to break a part of the house.  The dinosaur was called Piatnitzkysaurus.  He had some grey on top of his tail and on his back and he had some brown on the rest of his skin.  And it looked like he was not too hungry.  It looked like he was hungry enough for just one tiny lizard.

The dinosaur’s tail looked like it was going to break the tre house.  The brother ran out and said, “Stop your tail.”  And then the dinosaur turned around and stopped his tail and the tree house was not broken.

“I will call you, pet dinosaur,” said brother to the Piatnitzkysaurus.

Chapter 4

Then the children made a giant house for pet dinosaur.  And he slept in it and they got lots of lizards for him to eat.  Then the world shook more than the last time.  There was a giant dinosaur who looked like he was hungry called Ceratosaurus.  He was looking for a dinosaur.  He opened the door of the house of dinosaur pet. 

Then when brother saw him opening the door, he ran and took his last Venus Fly Trap and tried to throw it at him.  He fought and fought with his giant claws.  Then he bit the hand of the Ceratosaurus.  Then he died.  Then brother became the first kid who was brave.      

It was night very soon.  A giant noise was kind of not loud.  It was a dinosaur called Afrovenator.  He looked like he was ready to eat some dinner.  He was walking and getting closer and closer to the tree house.  He smelled yummy meat.  He smelled all the way to the window of brother’s bedroom.  It looked like he was ready to eat.  He made a giant fire on one part of the tree house.  Sister ran to the room of brother because it was the only place where there wasn’t fire in the treehouse.  The Afrovenator was blue.  Underneath him was dark green. 

Brother didn’t know the treehouse was on fire.  He didn’t believe what sister said about the fire.  He looked out and he saw smoke and the Afrovenator.  He ran outside and got one Venus Fly Trap. Instead he got two.  So he had an idea. 

He put some meat in the Venus Fly Trap and said, “Here you go, big Afrovenator.”  The dinosaur ate it.  The Venus Fly Trap spit out the meat and bit the dinosaur inside the neck. He was very badly hurting and he started to fall down while lots of blood came out of him.  And then they went back in and they started to sleep. 

Chapter 5

Our Tree House is Just One Room

            The next day in the morning, brother woke up while Isabella was snoring in his bed.  He looked outside while Pet was just stretching out.  Brother got some lizards for Pet Dinosaur to eat.  Pet Dinosaur was very happy.  It started to rain. 

There was a giant dinosaur called Gasosaurus.  He had some blue on his back and the rest of his skin was blue and it looked like he was hungry enough for a lizard.  Soon the dinosaur opened the door and got the lizards and that brother was going to give pet dinosaur. 

Give it back! Yelled brother but the  dinosaur just rushed to his house.  Then brother told sister about the dinosaur..  look yelled sister there are tracks of him.  Brother and sister and dinosaur pet followed the tracks to a big tunnel.  They were just in time.  The dinosaur was right about to eat the lizards.  After that sister and brother and dinosaur pet ran outside and got some pointy plants.  They threw it right at the Gasosaurus and he died.

After that it was time to eat lunch.  After lunch they decided to take a little nap.  Isabella locked pet dinosaur’s house for no dangerous animals to get him.  Sister heard a big roar.  It was so loud it woke up brother and pet dinosaur from their nap.  Then a giant dinosaur, and sister knew what it was called—Allosaurus came by.  He looked like he was very, very hungry.  His tummy rumbled while he stepped right on a tiny lake.  He was very ready to eat. 

“How are we going to get him,” said brother.  After that sister had a nice idea. 

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking, asked brother.”  Sister nodded.  They took lots of Venus Fly Traps and put it in a giant cage.  They put little puppet dinosaurs they made there.  The Allosaurus thought it was a real dinosaur.  There was a line and when he went to get the puppet dinosaur, there was a rock that was so heavy it could pull down the cage.  And it went right on the Allosaurus.  After that, we he was in the cage, he was trying to get out.  Venus Fly Traps started to bite him. 

Then they put the cage on a giant wagon.  A giant rock was rolling down the mountain and pushed the wagon far, far away. 

After that sister said, “All we ever fought were just Therapods.”

Then it was night time.  After that in the middle of the night, there was a roar that sounded like it was coming close from three giant dinaosaurs.  There was a Metriacanthosaurus with lines on his skin and a spine that was sticking up.  The color of the lines on his skin was blue.  The rest of his skin was brown.  There was a Szechuanosaurus.  He had a long tail; some of his skin was very, very blue, and the rest of his skin was very brown.  There was also a Yangchuanosaurus.  All of his skin was just brown and he was very big.  They were not hungry.  They were just wanting to test their claws.  They were scratching the tree house.  The fire was getting bigger and bigger.    

Sister came out and said, “Stop!” 

They looked at sister and ran away.  Then they came back and kept scratching the tree house.   Brother got a footprint of one of their worst predators, but they wanted to scratch more.  Dinosaur Pet came out with poisonous lizards.  The three dinosaurs thought they weren’t poisonous, they picked them up and ate them.  They started to die.  After they were starting to be buried to go to the Dinosaur Museum for the next time. 

Brother and sister didn’t go back to bed because they saw the time machine again. 

“Come on!  Let’s go back home!” said brother.

But once they got there, they were not at home.  They were in the Cretaceous period.  There were six dinosaurs.  There was a Baryonyx, a Suchomimus, a Becklespinax, an Acrocanthosaurus, a Spinosaurus, and a Giganotosaurus.  They were all fighting each other because they were fighting over a Stegosaurus.  They were trying to have it.  The Baryonyx had some orange on his snout and the rest of his snout was brown.  His skin was very red and he had some points at the top of his head. 

The Suchomimus had some orange stripes on its back, it had a head shaped like a crocodile, and his skin was very, very yellow.  He had very pointy teeth.  The Becklespinax was mostly blue, but some of his skin was orange.  And his tail crashed on trees a lot.  The Acrocanthosaurus had spikes on its back; it had some orange underneath its spikes.  There was a crust that went around his eye and did a triangle to his nose and went right back to his second eye.  The rest of his skin was very, very orange. 

The Spinosaurus had a giant sail on its back.  There were a coule brown stripes and all of the rest of his skin was blue.  The Giganotosaurus had a crust that was the same as the Acrocanthosaurus.  He had a red tongue and his skin was dark blue.  He had some points at the top of his head. 

Brother came and threw a tiny puppet dinosaur.  The Spinosaurus took the puppet dinosaur.  There was some meat in the puppet dinosaur.  The Spinosaurus ate the meat and then he was happy and he walked away.  After the rest of the dinosaurs fought more with each other.  Then the Giganotosaurus went and got the Stegasaurus.  The rest were very sad.  After other Stegasaurusus came and the dinosaurs started to fight again.

“I’m tired from seeing the dinosaurs fight,” said Isabella.  So Isabella got a bunch of puppets with meat inside, but she didn’t have enough.  So it means only two dinosaurs got to get happy.  The Acrocanthosaurus, the Suchomimus, the Baryonyx, and the Becklespinax started to fight for the Stegosaurus again. 

Brother said, “Do you have any more puppets, Isabella?”

“No, I used them all,” said sister.

So brother went away and got some more meat at a place where there was lots of meat.  But he only found one.  So he threw it at the Becklespinax.  And he was happy so he went away.  And the Baryonyx got to eat the Stegasaurus.

After they started to walk and then they saw the time machine. 

“Yeah!  We can finally get home!” said brother. 

“I can’t get in!” said sister. 

“I think the only way is to fight some dinosaurs,” said brother.

After that there was a Chilantaisaurus, a Carcharodontosaurus, an Alectrosaurus, an Abelisaurus, a Carnotaurus, a Dryptosaurus, a Deinocheirus, an Albertosaurus, an Aublysodon, a Nanotyrannus, an Alioramaus, a Tarbosaurus, and a Tyrannosaurus.

“There are too many to fight!” said brother.

“Guess we need to make a team,” said Isabella.  “You will get the Chilantaisaurus, the Carcharodontosaurus, the Alectrosaurus, the Abelisaurus, and the Carnotaurus.  And I will get the Dryptosaurus, the Deinocheirus, the Albetosaurus, the Aublysodon, the Alioramus, the Tarbosaurus, the Nanotyrannus, and the Tyrannosaurus. 

“There are too many to fight!” said brother.

After the Scientist threw a sword in the time machine again.  Brother got the sword.  And he put the sword in the Chilantaisaurus and the Carcharodontosaurus and the Abelisaurus.  After the sword went back to his time. 

“How will I get these two?” said brother to sister.

“Will you remember you’re the first brave kid?” said Isabella.  “And you are a smart kid.”

After that brother had an idea.  “How about you stick with me and fight my dinosaurs and fight your dinosaurs later?”

            After there was a tiny poison bottle that looked like a lizard.  And he put it right in front of the Alectrosaurusand the Carnotaurus.  After they all died. 

            “Now we can stick as a team and fight my dinosaurs,” said Isabella.

            They made a trap. With the prison hanging up and Stegasaurus underneath the prison.  Two dinosaurs went to eat the Stegasaurus.  The Deinocheirus and the Aublysodon went to eat the Stegasaurus.  They were the only ones in the cage. 

            “But there are more dinosaurs,” said brother.  “That plan just made two dinosaurs go.  How about we put more Stegasauruses and a bigger cage?”

            They put two Stegasauruses by mistake.  Only two dinosaurs went to get the two Stegasauruses.  The Albertosaurus and the Dryptosaurus.  They both ate it.  They got stuck in the cage. 

            “But now there’s more dangerous ones,” said Isabella. So they decided that brother would fight the Tyrannosaurus and sister would fight the Tarbosaurus.  The Scientist decided to get a sword that could last longer and he threw it in the time machine.  And sister got it.  She put the sword right in the heart of the Tarbosaurus.  But only part of it went back to the time of sister, so she had some more parts to fight the Nanotyrannus and the Alioramus. 

The Nanotyrannus was running very fast and was right in the back of sister.  She looked behind and saw the Nanotyrannus.  It looked like he was ready to do a giant scratch.  But right when he was going to scratch sister, she put the sword right in the leg of the Nanotyrannus.  After she only had the Alioramus to fight.  The animal was closing its eyes and thinking for a very good plan.  After he decided to try to make a cage, but it didn’t work.  Everything just was destroyed.  The only way he thought was just to bite Isabella.  And he tried to bite Isabella, but she just turned around and put the sword right in his tail.  After the sword was gone. 

Then the worst predator and the King who was Tyrannosaurus smelled a very good meat smell.  He followed it all the way to brother.  He jumped and tried to eat him. 

“Hurry!” said Isabella.

They hurried and built a cage, put a Stegasaurus, but the Tyrannosaurus smelled the cage, so what he did was grabbed the Stegasaurus and tried to pull it.  But when he got it, right then the cage fell right on his hand and cut his hand and he died. 

“Come on,” said brother, “Let’s go in the time machine now.”

They hurried and jumped in the time machine.  They went to very weird places and there was a tube with windows and in each window was a different time.  After they saw the time before their time and they stopped right out of the time machine.  

“Sorry I made the time machine,” said the Scientist.  “I didn’t know it would cause that problem.” 

Their mom ran and said, “I missed you.”  She did a kiss and a hug to Isabella and brother.

2 Pretend you are fighting a bunch of dinosaurs.  Which dinosaurs would you fight?

3 Draw a picture of your favorite dinosaur.  Then put yourself in the picture and pretend you are fighting the dinosaur.
